A smile is always a happy thing. Right? Wrong.

Researchers have discovered that there are19 different types of smile and that our grins are not as simple as they seem. There are a lot of different ways to smile - and some of them can conceal less than happy feelings.

Surprisingly of the 19 smile types, only six appear when we're having a good time. The rest happen when we're in pain, embarrassed, uncomfortable, horrified or even miserable. A smile may mean contempt, anger or incredulity --- that we're lying or that we're lost. The detail on these interesting findings are worth a visit to this great place.

Question: What's the most spoken word at 50th reunions? Answer: What?

Of course you aren't ready for (or close to) your 50th - but we're sure you know someone who says "What" or "Huh" a lot.

The National Hearing Test is an accurate, validated hearing screening test, developed with funding from the National Institutes of Health. This confidential, not-for-profit screening is taken over a telephone to help you determine if you have been avoiding a hearing evaluation for too long. The test is non-promotional and has no financial connection with any hearing products or services.

AARP has cooperated to bring this valuable resource to its forty million members without cost. Non-members can take the test for five dollars.

Now hear this - it's a bargain!
